What Gmail sending does

The Gmail integration sends approved ClientCadence drafts from your connected Gmail account. It is designed for delivery, not mailbox reading.

ClientCadence uses Gmail only to send messages that you review and choose to send from your connected account. It does not read, scan, import, or analyze your inbox.

You choose the recipient, subject, and final message. ClientCadence assists the workflow, but you remain responsible for reviewing and approving the email before it leaves your account.

When Gmail helps

  • Send approved updates without copying drafts into another tab.
  • Keep client communication workflow connected to saved project memory.
  • Use a familiar sender address for client-facing messages.

How to connect Gmail

  1. Open Settings in ClientCadence.
  2. Select Connect Gmail.
  3. Approve the authorized Google access request for Gmail sending.
  4. Generate a draft, open the More menu, and choose Gmail.
  5. Add the recipient and subject, then send the approved message.

Gmail permissions and user control

ClientCadence uses an authorized Google access flow for Gmail. This lets you approve the permission without sharing your Google password with ClientCadence.

The current Gmail workflow is designed for sending approved drafts from your connected account. It does not request broad mailbox read access for generating or sending client updates.

Gmail sending happens only after you review the recipient, subject, and message and choose to send.

Gmail availability, account controls, delivery behavior, and provider policy requirements are managed by Google and may change over time.

Disconnecting Gmail

Open Settings, choose Disconnect on the Gmail card, and confirm. This removes saved ClientCadence Gmail access and attempts to revoke access through Google. You can also remove ClientCadence from your Google account security settings.

Best Gmail update workflows

  • Weekly project updates.
  • Follow-up emails when feedback or assets are missing.
  • Launch readiness summaries.
  • Client risk or blocker updates that need a clear next step.

AI can make mistakes. Review outputs before sending or using them.
