Slack integration guide

The Slack integration lets a connected workspace interact with ClientCadence from direct messages, channel mentions, and the /clientcadence slash command.

Slack workflows assist drafting and sharing inside authorized workspaces. Users remain responsible for reviewing drafts, choosing channels, and making sure shared content is appropriate for that workspace.

• Turn project notes from Slack into client-ready drafts.
• Save supported Slack requests to ClientCadence history.
• Attach history to a project when the message includes a matching project or client name.
• Send approved generated updates from ClientCadence to Slack channels.

1. Open Settings in ClientCadence.
2. Select Connect Slack.
3. Approve the Slack workspace install and requested permissions.
4. Return to Settings and confirm the Slack card says Connected.
5. For channel mentions, invite the ClientCadence app to the channel.

ClientCadence uses an authorized Slack app flow. This lets a workspace approve requested permissions without sharing Slack passwords with ClientCadence.

Slack access is used to receive app mentions, receive direct messages to the ClientCadence app, respond in Slack, and list public channels when you choose to send an approved update.

Slack workspace settings, app permissions, channel access, provider availability, and Slack policy requirements may affect how the integration works.

Open Settings, choose Disconnect on the Slack card, and confirm. This removes saved ClientCadence Slack access and attempts to revoke app access through Slack. Workspace admins can also remove the app from Slack directly.

• DM the app: status
• Use slash command: /clientcadence draft update Acme finished QA and needs approval
• Mention the app: @ClientCadence summarize Acme launch notes
• Send a generated dashboard draft to a selected Slack channel.

Supported Slack requests can create ClientCadence history records. If your message includes a matching project or client name, ClientCadence can associate the result with that project so it appears alongside web app drafts.

AI can make mistakes. Review outputs before sending or using them.

• If a direct message receives no response, confirm the Slack app is installed and reconnected in Settings.
• If a channel mention receives no response, invite ClientCadence to that channel.
• If the slash command is unavailable, add the slash command in Slack app settings and reinstall the app after permission changes.
